| Donna & Marienne sit below the Washington Road bridge. The black sign is supposed to say 'Bring It On!', but the Olympus WR105 camera (or the idiot taking the picture) did a poor job of capturing it. Marienne is the one in the blue Perception Spectrum (the recreational boat), and Donna is in the yellow Artic Hawk (Greenland-style sea kayak). |

Donna Nussenblatt, CJACK's (Central Jersey Area Canoe & Kayak) fearless leader, paddling north in front of the boat house. She's using a wooden Greenland style paddle, and has another on her deck as a backup. Greenland paddles are making a comeback, due to:
- Suitability to touring, taking less resistence per stroke,
- Easier Eskimo roll,
- Low wind resistence,
- Easy and more powerful sweep strokes,
- Cheap to make the wood models.
Most Greenland users prefer wood, but a small minority of us prefer graphite (w. a foam or balsa core) for lightness and stiffness.
