Dam, followed by a 15 foot drop.  Notice the two concrete structures to the extreme left & right; the dam is in between.  Under normal conditions, a small amount of water overflows the dam.  When water levels are high enough, this can create a strong enough current to suck a kayak, or canoe, over the dam. Southern view of the Riva Avenue - Church Lane intersection.  The Church Ln bridge separates Farrington Lake on the north side, and Lawrence Brook on the south.  When paddling under the bridge, watch out for fishing lines on the other side.
