Scenery
Okay. There are enough trees along the southern shore and eastern portion (left of the boat ramp) to make things interesting in the fall. After two or three trips, you will be bored.

Keep in mind that these costs are independent of the state parks. Lake Nockamixon is also in Bucks County, but is a state park, requiring a state park launch permit. (This has been verified, as of Tue, 29-Mar-2005.)
Directions
Take route 95 south, over the Delaware River to exit 30 west. This is route 332 west. Proceed about 2.7 mi to the light at Summit Trace Road & make a left. Immediately, make a left onto Double Woods Road. Go 0.6 mi to Filling Mill Road & make a right. Follow this to the end. (It will appear to bend to the left; continue straight.) Make a right onto Tollgate Road, then a left into Core Creek Park. Follow this road until you see signs for the boat launch & make a left.
Unload your boat to the right of the concrete boat ramp, near the tree, while parked in the circle. Then proceed to the parking area.
Parking
A fair amount of parking, but it does fill up on summer weekends, between the fishermen, people out for a walk, and those renting boats.
Distance to the Launch Area
It is a 1 min walk from the parking area, down hill.

Restrooms
The restrooms are a 3 minute walk from the boat ramp area. Proceed northwest from the ramp to a small building. They have running water.
Status of Launch Area
Go to the right of the concrete boat ramp. It is slightly rocky, but not bad.
Wind Conditions
It's a narrow lake with a lot of surrounding trees. The wind is more a nuisance than anything else.
Power Boats
Electric motors only; no gas-powered boats of any horsepower.
Foliage
Spell-binding! (Though not as pretty as Lake Lenape.) Check out the trees on the southern shore near the dam.
Rolling Practice?
Too many water fowl for my taste. The Bucks County Park Commission did sponsor a class, which included rescuing techniques. But I still suggest going else where.
